BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Hannah Sokol (Jr., Arroyo Grande, Calif./Arroyo Grande) of the University of Washington “B” and Frances Dizard (Seattle, Wash./Bishop Blancet) of Washington “A” combined for 19 goals, 10 assists, eight steals and 10 ejections drawn for the Huskies to share recognition as the March 11 Women’s Collegiate Club Northwest Division Player of the Week.

Competing at the Willamalane Aquatic Center in Springfield, Ore., the duo helped Washington “A” and “B” post a combined 6-2 mark.

Dizard posted eight goals with seven assists, a steal and two ejections drawn during a 4-0 weekend for Washington “A” as the Huskies downed Oregon State University “B” (26-2 W), University of Oregon “A” (13-8 W), Western Washington University (18-3 W) and Washington “B” (5-0 Forfeit). 

She scored twice versus Oregon State “B” and three times against both Oregon “A” and Western Washington as the Huskies “A” team wrapped up the regular season with an 8-0 league mark to clinch the No. 1 seed for the Northwest Division Championship on April 13-14 at Rogers High School in Puyallup, Wash.

Sokol helped Washington “B” to a 2-2 mark on the weekend with 11 goals, three assists, seven steals and eight ejections drawn.

She score five times against Western Washington (19-8 W), four times versus Oregon State “B” (13-1 W) and twice versus Portland State University (7-6 L OT) to accompany a 5-0 forfeit defeat against Washington “A”.  The 2-2 record allowed Washington “B” to wrap-up the regular season with a 3-4 record and secure the No. 5 seed for the Northwest Division Championship.
