CAMBRIDGE, Mass. --  Maggie Hannon (Sr., Ann Arbor, Mich./Huron), Nicole Redder (So., Grandville, Mich./Jenison), Kara Butler (So., Poway, Calif./Poway) and Kelly Palmberg (Jr., Simi Valley, Calif./Royal) netted pairs of goals as No. 16 Indiana University topped Princeton University 11-6 in the fifth place game of the 2009 Eastern Championship on the campus of Harvard University.

The Hoosiers never trailed in the game opening up a 4-0 lead by the end of the first period and an 8-1 advantage by halftime.

Trailing 7-0 with 1:55 left in the first half, Princeton broke through with an exclusion score by Audrey Zak (Fr., Carlsbad, Calif./Carlsbad) to break-up the shutout bid by Indiana goalie Cassie Wyckoff (Fr., Los Altos, Calif./Los Altos).  Indiana regained its seven goal lead a minute later as Nicole Sands (Jr., Westlake Village, Calif./Agoura) connected on an exclusion chance for an 8-1 score at the break.

Princeton could get no closer than five goals the rest of the way as the Tigers opened the second half with markers by Claire Jacobson (Sr., San Luis Obispo, Calif./San Luis Obispo) and Sarah Hutchison (So., Newport Beach, Calif./Corona del Mar) at 6:50 and 5:33 of the third period, respectively, but Indiana built the lead to 9-3 and later 10-4 by the end of the third frame to coast to the five-goal victory.

Zak led Princeton with a pair of goals, while goalies Christina Michel (So., San Marcos, Calif./The Bishop's School) and Kristen Ward (Sacramento, Calif./St. Francis) combined for five saves as Princeton finishes the season with a 16-13 mark.
