Penn's Natasa Kordic Named March 23 Mid-Atlantic Division Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- University of Pennsylvania utility player Natasa Kordic (Jr., Sacramento, Calif./Granite Bay) scored 12 goals and collected 22 steals while splitting time at two-meters to earn the March 23 Mid-Atlantic Division Player of the Week award and lead the Quakers to a 5-0 record at the second division tournament of the year.

Competing at Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, Virginia, the Quakers rolled through the competition putting up 57 goals and allowing nine to clinch the No. 1 seed for the upcoming Mid-Atlantic Division Championship on April 4-5 at Pennsylvania State University in State College.

Following a 13-0 win over James Madison University, Kordic, who serves as a co-captain of Penn, netted five goals in a 12-4 win over the University of Richmond to being her scoring spree, before putting home a pair of markers in a 12-1 victory over Duke University.

She added four goals in a 15-2 win over the University of North Carolina, before wrapping up her weekend with a solo score in a 5-2 win over the University of Virginia.

A four-time division champion (2004, 2006-08), the Quakers will look to capture their fourth consecutive title and trip to the National Collegiate Club Championship at the Mid-Atlantic Division Championship in two weeks.
