Brown's Brittany Westerman Named March 29 Women's Varsity Northern Division Rookie of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Brittany Westerman (Fr., Palo Alto, Calif./Deerfield Academy) put home five goals in five games for Brown University to earn the March 29 Women's Varsity Northern Division Rookie of the Week award and aid the Bears in notching a 3-2 mark on the West Coast.
Her best game of the week came in the Bears' final contest as she punched home a pair of scores to key Brown in a 9-7 victory over No. 18-nationally ranked California State University-Bakersfield. In addition, she tossed in two scores against Fresno Pacific University (12-4 W) and a solo tally versus No. 9 Loyola Marymount University (11-7 L), while being hold scoreless in contests with No. 15 University of California-Davis (10-6 L) and Sonoma State University (8-4 L).
