Dear Friends of Maryland Water Polo,

We are writing to express our appreciation of your support for Maryland Water Polo.

The sad news was released by the President of the University of Maryland stating our team (1 of 8) will be cut from the athletic department if we do not raise 8 years worth of total costs by June 30, 2012. This amounts to $4.2 million for the water polo program.

We need your help!

The Tournament For The Terps will kick off the fundraising campaign to save our program. There are countless numbers of lives this decision affects today and in years to come. With your help we look forward to continuing previous success and establishing a legacy for Maryland water polo that will never be taken away. We pride ourselves in being outstanding students, representing the state of Maryland when competing in water polo becoming NCAA DI conference and national contenders, and creating opportunities for women to become empowered citizens in society upon graduation.

Things you can do to help (all donations tax-deductible):
• Become an honorary team. Starting at $200 and we will post your picture!
• Donate to the Silent Auction or Tournament Contests. Types of items include tickets, gift certificates, autographed items, apparel, and more!
• Be a Tournament For The Terps sponsor. Starting at $1,000 we will advertise your company throughout the tournament!
• Make a donation (min. $40) and receive a "Save Maryland Water Polo" T-shirt
