BALTIMORE, Md. — Johns Hopkins University head water polo coach Ted Bresnahan announced that Adam Foley will join the Blue Jays as a volunteer assistant this season. Foley was most recently the head coach of the men’s and women’s teams at George Washington University.
Foley was an assistant for the Blue Jays during the 2013 season, in which Hopkins went 21-10 and won the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Championship. He then spent three years at GW as an assistant and head coach. Foley also had coaching stints at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and his alma mater, the University of Redlands, along with the Trinidad & Tobago national team.
Foley was a four-year member of the Bulldogs’ water polo program and graduated as one of the top players in program history. He ranked seventh in school history in goals (111), fifth in assists (103), third in steals (202) and fifth in ejections drawn (100) upon graduation. As a senior, Foley was named the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) and Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) Division III National Player of the Year.
