ERIE, Pa. — Bucknell University broke its three-game losing streak with a decisive 26-12 victory at Mercyhurst University in Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) action at the Hallman Aquatics Cener. Ten different Bison recorded a goal to overwhelm the Lakers as Bucknell recorded a season-high output in goals. 

Mateo Herrera received the start between the pipes and recorded five saves.

Aleksa Stefanovic led Bucknell with five goals as part of Bucknell’s 26-for-36 shooting performance.

Bucknell put the game away in the opening quarter by outscoring Mercyhurst 8-2.

The Bison offense did not hesitate in the second quarter, once again repeating its eight-goal outburst. Mercyhurst scored four goals to trail 16-6 at halftime.

The Lakers fought hard in the third quarter to outscore Bucknell 3-2.  

Bucknell finished the game on a strong note with its third eight-goal quarter to close out a 14-goal victory.
