2020 Rocky Mountain Division Women’s Schedule

Rocky Mountain Division Schedule Notes

The current Rocky Mountain Division format has teams playing everyone once with additional seeding games drawn at random. Teams would play these games over two regional weekends and all teams would attend the championship. The Rocky Mountain Division Championship is being held at the University of Denver on Easter Weekend due to scheduling issues and pool availability. Games will take place on Friday evening and Saturday.

Season Canceled: As of Tuesday, March 17th, the remainder of the 2020 Women’s Club Season has been canceled due to the current circumstances across the country related to the Coronavirus. This includes the National Collegiate Club Championship in Tempe, AZ and the Division III National Collegiate Club Championship in Middlebury, VT.

*Due to Colorado State University and Colorado Mines splitting their head-to-head matchups (Colorado State 7, Colorado Mines 5; Colorado Mines 5, Colorado State 3) with identical goal differentials, the tiebreaker procedures come into play.  The only team seeded higher is the U.S. Air Force Academy which Colorado lost to 10-7 and 9-8 for a -4 goal differential (19-15).  However, Colorado Mines lost to Air Force by 8-7 and 9-6 counts for a -4 goal differential (17-13).  The tie is then broken by goal differential versus the next highest seeded opponent – the University of Colorado.  Colorado State beat Colorado 10-6 (+4) and Colorado Mines won 6-5 (+1), so Colorado State claims the No. 2 seed based on goal differential; ^Although the University of New Mexico defeated the University of Denver head-to-head in one meeting, New Mexico forfeited to Denver in another game and league rule excludes a team from winning a tiebreaker if they forfeited to the team in the situation.
