BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the Week 9/November 8 Men’s Collegiate Club Top 20 Poll for the 2018 season.

The poll is not representative of each program’s strength but serves as a basis for comparison during the 2018 season.

2018 Men’s Collegiate Club National Top 20 (Week 9/November 8)

Pacific Coast Division Champion California Polytechnic State University and Sierra Pacific Division Champion the University of California remain tied at No. 1 in the 2018 Men’s Collegiate Club National Top 20 Week 9/November 8 Top 20.

The Mustangs (96 points) and Golden Bears (96 points) lead a Top 20 which experiences major changes heading into this weekend’s Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship at the University of Arizona.

The University of California-Davis (85 points), Southwest Division Champion the University of California-San Diego (85 points), the University of California-Los Angeles (80 points), San Diego State University (75 points) rise and fall to round out an All-California Top Six. 

The Great Lakes Division Champion The Ohio State University (66 points), Texas Division Champion the University of Texas (60 points), Florida Division Champion the University of Florida (59 points) and Missouri Valley Division Champion Lindenwood University (55 points) comprise the final positions in the Top 10.

Big Ten Division Champion the University of Michigan (50 points) stays at No. 11 with Mid-Atlantic Division Champion Villanova University (39 points), Atlantic Division Champion the United States Naval Academy (35 points), New York Division Champion the United States Military Academy (34 points), New England Division Champion Boston College (33 points) and California State University-Maritime Academy (28 points) all moving up to take over at No. 12-to-16, respectively.

Rocky Mountain Division Champion the University of Utah (27 points) slips to No. 17 with Northwest Division Champion Oregon State University (13 points), Michigan State University (11 points) and Arizona (10 points) completing the Top 20.

The 2018 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship will be decided this weekend at Arizona on Friday-Sunday, November 9-11, in Tucson, Arizona.
