EMMITSBURG, Md. — Mount St. Mary’s University seeks a part-time men’s and women’s water polo assistant coach.

The assistant coach is responsible for assisting the head men’s and women’s water polo coach in all aspects of the water polo program, including recruitment of qualified student-athletes, practice and game preparation, budget management, fundraising and assisting with the overall administration of a Division I water polo program in accordance with institutional, National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC), Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and Northeast Conference rules and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting in all facets of the men’s & women’s Division I varsity water polo room.
  • Assist in the evaluation and recruitment of qualified student-athletes.
  • Organizing and planning practice and game preparation
  • Monitoring academic progress of both programs
  • Monitoring budget management and fundraising
  • Assist with Scheduling
  • Assist with planning for team travel.

Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Successful collegiate coaching and/or collegiate playing experience desired.
  • Review of candidates will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
