LONG BEACH, Calif. — The No. 14-ranked Long Beach State University 49ers rallied for an 8-2 comeback victory over the No. 17 Princeton University Tigers at the Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center.

The Tigers shut out the 49ers over the first 13 minutes of game action before the home squad registered the last two goals of the first half, taking a 2-1 lead at the intermission.

Long Beach State extended its lead, opening the second half with a tally, but Annie Robinson responded at the 3:25 mark. The 49ers rebounded with four straight goals to end the third quarter, pushing their margin to four, 6-2.

Princeton couldn’t put together a threat in the final frame as Long Beach State picked its eighth straight victory.
