BRONX, N.Y. — The No. 5-ranked Fordham University water polo team capped its regular season schedule at home in the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center by posting a 23-13 win over No. 19 Brown University as the Rams sent off their senior class with a win.

Fordham improves to 23-3 on the year with the win.

The Rams jetted out to a big lead, scoring the first six goals of the game with Luca Provenziani netting three of those markers.

Fordham maintained its six-goal lead to halftime at 11-5, before a nine-goal outburst put the Rams ahead 20-9 at the end of the third quarter

The Rams had seven different goal scorers in the third quarter with Provenziani and Andras Toth each having two.

Fordham then closed out the game with three goals in the final frame for the 23-13 final.

Provenziani scored a career-high seven goals against the Bears to go with five assists and three steals, while Toth added a hat trick and two assists in the match to reach 200 career goals in the game.

Marco Napolitano and Alessandro Salipante each added three goals with Napolitano having four assists to Salipante’s two.

Balazs Berenyi and Barnabas Eppel both notched two goals with Brendan Cassidy, Gianni Farrugia and Soren Jessen having the final three markers.

In net, Matthew Bonello DuPuis played the first three quarters, making nine saves with three assists and two steals.
