2023 University of Michigan Women’s Water Polo Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Defending Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Champion the University of Michigan released the program’s planned 2023 Women’s Water Polo schedule.

The Wolverines will open the 2023 season on the road in Tempe, Ariz., as the Maize & Blue take on Biola University, California Baptist University, Azusa Pacific University and host Arizona State University on Friday-Sunday, January 13-15, at the ASU Challenge. 

A week later, Michigan heads to the West Coast for the first time as the squad faces host Fresno State University, the University of Hawaii and the University of California in Fresno, Calif., on Saturday-Sunday, January 21-22, at the Bulldog Fest.

The team returns to California on Saturday-Sunday, February 4-5 for the Stanford Invite hosted by Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif.

Michigan makes its first and only trip of the season to Pennsylvania to face host Bucknell University, Saint Francis University and Long Island University at the Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pa., on Saturday-Sunday, February 11-12.  Two weeks later, the Wolverines trek to Irvine, Calif., for the Barbara Kalbus Invitational on Friday-Sunday, February 24-26.

The team will compete at home in Canham Natatorium for the first time on Saturday-Sunday, March 4-5, as Michigan faces Salem University, San Jose State University, Bucknell, Saint Francis and Marist College in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Another trip to California is on the docket for a week later as Michigan visits the University of California-Davis in Davis, Calif., and University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif., on Saturday-Sunday, March 18-19, respectively.

The annual Michigan-Indiana University is slated for Saturuday, March 25, in Bloomington, Ind., before the Maize &  Blue make a swing through New England for games at Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass., and Brown University in Providence, R.I., on Saturday, April 1, before concluding the weekend with a contest versus Princeton University at Brown on Sunday, April 2.

A trio of home games on Saturday-Sunday, April 15-16, wrap-up the regular season slate as Michigan hosts Princeton, Brown and Harvard to establish the final seeding for the CWPA Championship at Princeton in Princeton, N.J., on Friday-Sunday, April 28-30.
