ERIE, Pa. — Penn State Behrend head coach Joe Tristan speaks with former Lions’ standout Anne Lawrence ’12 along with Mercyhurst University graduate/former Penn State Behrend assistant coach Andy Sekulski ’12 MBA.
A native of Mohnton, Pa., and a graduate of Governor Mifflin High School, Sekulski starred for Mercyhurst from 2007-to-2010 prior to graduating with a bachelor of arts in business with concentration in finance and a minor in economics and accounting in 2011. The 2010 Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) Division II National Player of the Year, he was a four-time ACWPC Division II All-America First Team selection (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010). He continued his time in Erie by serving as an assistant coach for the Penn State Behrend water polo programs during the 2011-12 and 2012-13 academic years.
A graduate of State College High School and a native of State College, Pa., Lawrence garnered ACWPC Division III All-America Honorable Mention status as a senior in 2012. She currently ranks among PSB’s all-time best in career steals (143, sixth), assists (58, fifth) and drawn kickouts (45, seventh).
