The first two games on the championship weekend are the final two games of the regular season and are also listed in the regular season schedule. These two games will count towards the regular season standings. The regular season standings determine the seeding for the championship; Due to Grinnell and Carleton being tied at 7-1 prior to the championship weekend, the pair’s game on April 21 will determine the No. 1 seed for the championship.  As Carleton lost 7-6 to Grinnell on March 3, a Carleton win by more than one will give Carleton the No. 1 seed.  A loss gives the No. 1 seed to Grinnell.  However, a one-goal win by Carleton would force a tie which would be broken based on league policy stating, “the goal differential against the highest seed common opponent” (Knox College) as no teams would be seeded higher than Carleton and Grinnell.  Grinnell would win the tiebreaker courtesy defeating Knox (9-4 W, 11-2 W) for a +14 differential, compared to Carleton’s +8 (7-5 W, 10-4 W) versus Knox.
