New York Division Schedule Notes
The New York Division is divided into two regions based on geography. The East Region is comprised of five teams and the West Region comprised of seven teams. All teams in the East Region play each other once and play four of the seven opponents from the West Region. Six of the seven West Region Teams play five opponents within the region and three opponents from the East Region. One team from the West plays all six opponents in the region and only two opponents from the East Region. Game selections are based on the approved “Cornell Algorithm” scheduling format that avoids any team missing another team two years in a row as voted in by the membership in 2016. All teams participate in their regional tournament, the crossover tournament and the championship weekend.
The crossover weekend taking place September 14-15th at the U.S. Military Academy will be played in two pools located on campus. Both pools (Crandall Pool and the Intramural Pool) are located in the Cadet Development Center. The schedule highlights which pool a game is being played in the location column.
As of Wednesday, September 4th, the site and date of the New York Division Championship has been determined as Hamilton College on the weekend of October 26-27th. This allows all teams available to compete as well as be a centrally located school. This also changes the West Regional location to the University of Buffalo on the weekend of October 5-6th.
Please Note: The New York Division Schedule has been revised as of Wednesday, September 4th due to Colgate University notifying the office that they will not be competing during the 2019-20 Academic School Year. Be sure to review the schedule as game times have changed for the Crossover at West Point and the West Regional at Buffalo.

*Columbia University claims the No. 4 seed due to a 13-7 win over Binghamton University; Syracuse University claims the No. 6 seed over the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy due to goal differential against the United States Military Academy, Cornell University, Columbia University and Binghamton as Syracuse holds a -16 total (15-11 L, 17-12 L, 14-8 L, 17-16 L) compared to Merchant Marine’s -22 (13-2 L, 15-2 L, 10-8 L, 12-8 W); Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) claims the No. 8 seed in one of two ways as RPI defeated Hamilton College 15-11 head-to-head, but Hamilton also forfeited games and thus excludes itself from further tiebreaker consideration – including the head-to-head result.
