Texas Division Schedule Notes

The division’s competitive format is comprised of an east and west  regional tournament, a crossover tournament and the championship weekend. Every team attends the championship, the crossover and one of the regional tournaments. Additionally, the crossover tournament at Texas A&M University will be played in two adjacent pools due to the number of games scheduled to played.

As of Tuesday, September 3rd, the Texas Tech University weekend has been rescheduled from October 12-13 to September 21-22 in order to accommodate the needs of the participating teams. A special thanks to the Texas Tech Team and Administration for making the adjustment.

Please Note: As of Thursday, October 17th, the championship schedule has been revised based on a concern for player safety in the final games on Saturday evening due to potential lighting issues. In order to avoid this concern, games on Saturday, October 19th will run on the hour utilizing the following playing rules:

• Games will run on the hour starting at 8:45AM with the final game scheduled to start at 5:45PM
• Seven-Minute Quarters with Two-Minute Quarter Breaks and a Three-Minute Halftime
• Teams will be allowed one Full Timeout per half and one 30 Second Timeout per game
• Timeouts DO NOT carry over into the second half if not used in the first half
• Overtime will be one Three-Minute Period
• If the game is still tied after the first Three-Minute Period then the game moves into Sudden Victory

Additionally, if the schedule begins to fall behind during Saturday, the officials may choose to move to a running clock in the second half of action if a team is winning by more than six goals at any time during the third or fourth periods.

Games played on Sunday, October 20th will follow normal game protocol with teams receiving a full complement of timeouts.
