BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — 14 members of the Brown University women’s water polo team were named to the Eastern Athletic Communications Association (EAST-COMM) Academic Honor Roll for the Spring 2025 season.
Aubrie Anderson (Jr., Newport Beach, Calif./Corona Del Mar), Sarah Decker (Jr., Newport Beach, Calif./Corona Del Mar), Roxanne Hazuka (Sr., La Jolla, Calif./La Jolla), Hana Homma (Sr., Huntington Beach, Calif./Huntington Beach), Gaby Montalvo (Jr., Miami, Fla./Gulliver Prep), Ellen Norell (Jr., Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich), Ella Palmer (Sr., Auckland, New Zealand/St. Cuthbert’s College), Madeleine Poissonnier (Sr., Tustin, Calif./Foothill), Julia Sansing (Sr., Santa Monica, Calif./Oaks Christian), Sabrina Shipley (Sr., Miami, Fla./Ransom Everglades) and Hanna Tidrenczel (Jr., Budapest, Hungary/Korösi Csoma Sándor Bilingual Baptist) along with 2025 graduates Alessandra D’Arcy (Mystic, Conn./The Williams School), Katharine Knowles (Fullerton, Calif./Troy) and Claire Poissonnier (Santa Ana, Calif./Foothill) were lauded on the organization’s inaugural EAST-COMM Academic Honor Roll honoring student-athletes hard work on the field and in the classroom. A total of 6,697 student-athletes from EAST-COMM member schools between the fall, winter, and spring academic honor rolls from 34 different institutions were recognized.
Student-athletes on the list were required to have sophomore eligibility and a 3.4 cumulative grade point average (GPA) to be nominated with their school being members of EAST-COMM. 43 different sports were represented between the three teams during the 2024-25 academic year.
