BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — 161 men’s collegiate club student-athletes earned recognition on the 2019 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Scholar-Athlete Team.

Previously named the All-Academic Team, the program honors student-athletes who have achieved grade point averages of 3.2 or higher and competed during the 2019 men’s season.

Overall, 82 athletes were honored with Outstanding (3.71-4.0) recognition, while 49 earned Superior (3.41-3.7) and 30 were recognized with Excellent (3.2-3.4) accolades.

To be selected, student-athletes must be active participants on a team and a full-time student at the institution which nominated them. Active participation includes the requirement to have played in at least one league game during the season. Freshmen through graduate students are eligible for the award.

Nominees must achieve a 3.2 cumulative Grade Point Average or higher based on the most recent grades.

In addition, six teams garnered honors for achieving GPA’s in excess of 2.75.
