BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) is spotlighting the 2020 women’s seniors who had their season cut-short due to the Coronavirus. Conducted through written word or by video, the league’s intention is to recognize its membership.
The San Diego State University women’s collegiate club has 10 players departing this year as Erin Micaela, Logan Kim, Marissa Wyan, Kyra Sheeper, Casandra Hidalgo-Monroe, Mikayla Eskew, Rachel Thompson, Brenna Killoran, Mango Mang and Daria Dragicevic competed for the final time as Aztecs this past season.
The team submitted the following in recognition of the seniors:
“We are so grateful for all you and appreciate how much you have given to this one of a kind team. From showing up to every practice, fun drives to games and tournaments, and the ability to make whole team laugh on the pool deck together before we start practice. This team has been an important part of our college experience: amazing friendships have been cultivated while being surrounded by the sport we all share a love for. This group of seniors has contributed so much and have done the best job of creating a fun and welcoming environment like no other. While we are sad to see you move on from San Diego State University we are excited to see where you all go in life. We hope you will all stop by the pool deck often, give us a few pointers and more importantly some good laughs. Thank you to our seniors.”
