*Princeton University claims the No. 1 seed due to goal differential in games versus Harvard University.  The Crimson won 10-8 on October 2, but the Tigers claimed a 12-9 win on October 30 to hold a +1 goal differential in head-to-head matchups; ! Connecticut College claims the No. 7 seed for the championship based on an agreement to not compete in a full Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) schedule; ^St. Francis College Brooklyn claims the No. 3 seed due to record as the Terriers and Brown University competed once the Terriers held a better record overall; %Iona College claims the No. 5 seed due to goal differential versus all opponents seeded higher.  Since Iona and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) split their season series (13-12 W by MIT on October 2 vs. Iona; 15-14 OT W by Iona vs. MIT on October 31), the differential of Iona and MIT’s games versus Princeton, Harvard, St. Francis Brooklyn and Brown are used to break the tie.  As both teams went 0-8 against their four seeding opponents, Iona claims the No. 5 seed with a -65 differential (147 goals against, 82 goals for) versus MIT’s -72 (138 goals against, 66 goals for).
