BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Nominations for the 2023 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference/Northeast Water Polo Conference/Collegiate Water Polo Association Men’s Scholar-Athlete Teams is set for January 12, 2024. All current men’s season collegiate club and varsity student-athletes in the MAWPC/NWPC/CWPA are eligible.
The Scholar-Athlete Team is open to all athletes (freshmen and up) that competed during the season.
To be selected, student-athletes must be active participants on the team and a full-time student at the institution which nominated them. Freshmen through graduate students are eligible for the award.
Nominees must achieve a 3.2 cumulative grade point average or higher based on the most recent grades (fall semester for men).
Student-athletes were recognized in three levels: 3.2 to 3.4 (Excellent), 3.41 to 3.7 (Superior) and 3.71 to 4.0 (Outstanding).
In addition, varsity and club teams with cumulative GPA’s at or above 2.75 are recognized by the conference for overall excellence.
All nominations for the Scholar-Athlete Team can be submitted by email to haas@collegiatewaterpolo.org. Please list athletes with First & Last Name, Institution and GPA (i.e. John Smith XYZ University 3.95).
