BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — 33 members of the Brown University, Johns Hopkins University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) men’s water polo teams were named to the Eastern Athletic Communications Association (EAST-COMM) Academic Honor Roll for the Fall 2024 season.

Stevenson), Matthew Pryce (Jr., Johannesburg, South Africa/St. John’s College), Adam Ivatorov (Sr., Rockaway, N.Y./Staten Island Technical), Kush Khamesra (Sr., Portland, Ore./Westview) and DJ Keller (Sr., Long Beach, Calif./Robert A. Millikan) of MIT to account for 22 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) selections.
Johns Hopkins’ Ethan Babel (Jr., San Francisco, Calif./Menlo School), Alec Baker (Jr., Redondo Beach, Calif./Chadwick School), Max Blecher (Jr., Princeton, N.J./The Lawrenceville School), Chris Lo ’25 (Newtown Square, Pa./Episcopal Academy), Jason Mihalopoulos (Sr., Las Vegas, Nev./Bishop Gorman), Daniel Palfi (Sr., Mission Viejo, Calif./Santa Margarita Catholic), Kyle Pearson ’25 (Key Biscayne, Fla./Laurel Springs School (Calif.)), Chris Poisler (Jr., Houston, Texas/Strake Jesuit College Prep), Ian Raley ’25 (Sr., Baltimore, Md./Gilman), Dado Soares (Sr., Riverside, Conn./Greenwich) and Quint Steffey (Sr., Capistrano Beach, Calif./Santa Margarita Catholic) comprise 11 awardees from the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) as the 33 athletes are honored on the inaugural EAST-COMM Academic Honor Roll recognizing student-athletes hard work on the field and in the classroom. A total of 6,697 student-athletes from EAST-COMM member schools between the fall, winter, and spring academic honor rolls from 34 different institutions were recognized.
Student-athletes on the list were required to have sophomore eligibility and a 3.4 cumulative grade point average (GPA) to be nominated with their school being members of EAST-COMM. 43 different sports were represented between the three teams during the 2024-25 academic year.
