LORETTO, Pa. — Saint Francis University water polo announces the hiring of Allison Rocha as an assistant coach of women’s water polo.
Rocha joins the Saint Francis water polo program as an assistant coach after an illustrious career at Washington & Jefferson College.
Head coach Jay O’Neil commented, “We are super excited to have Allison join the Red Flash Family. Her experience and enthusiasm will help this young program as we strive to build on the first two seasons. Allison was a great player, her knowledge of the game and understanding of what it takes to succeed in the pool and the classroom will have an immediate impact on the program.”
Rocha played under O’Neil when he served as head coach of the Presidents. A three year starter, she graduated early after earning Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) and Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Scholar-Athlete honors three times.
After graduating in 2015, Rocha worked as an intern with USA Swimming in Club Development and Marketing.
A native of New Lenox, Ill., Rocha received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a minor in English.
