PROVIDENCE, R.I. –– No. 25-ranked Brown University defeated La Salle University, 10-4, and Siena College, 14-6, at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center to begin day one of the Bruno Classic.
In the opener versus La Salle, Brown led 6-3 after one with Lily Weiser scoring twice. Shauna Franke registered 11 saves and three scored twice apiece – Weiser, Sophie Golub and Ashley Penner.
Facing Siena, freshman Roxanne Hazuka posted five saves in her collegiate debut and senior Claire Pisani went off, scoring four times, three of which came in the third quarter.
