BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Maria Marquez (Sr., West Palm, Fla./Suncoast) of the University of Florida “A” notched 17 goals, three assists and eight steals in a 3-1 weekend at the division regional tournament hosted by the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Fla., for the Gators to earn recognition as the February 27 Women’s Collegiate Club Southeast Division Player of the Week.
She aided No. 6-ranked Florida’s cause in dispatching Florida State University (17-5 W), Emory University (10-7 W) and Central Florida “B” (14-4 W) to accompany a loss to Central Florida “A” (12-10 L).
