BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Freshman Jasmin Kolasinac (Belgrade, Serbia/King’s College) of Wagner College totaled 12 goals, six assists, nine steals and five ejections drawn in a 2-1 league weekend for the Seahawks to claim notice as the October 2 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Player and co-Rookie of the Week.

A three-time weekly honor recipient from the league office after picking up a nod as the September 4 MAWPC Rookie of the Week, he scored once in a 19-12 loss at George Washington University prior to racking up five goals in a 20-12 victory over Division III No. 7-ranked Johns Hopkins University on Saturday, September 30. 

Kolasinac concluded the weekend by registering six goals and five steals in a 15-6 win at the United States Naval Academy.

He shares the Rookie of the Week award with George Washington University’s Vaios Vlahotasios (Fr., Athens, Greece/Genadios School) who contributed 15 saves in a 20-10 defeat of Johns Hopkins.
