Although Dartmouth College, Boston University and Middlebury College all finished 5-3, Dartmouth claims the No. 2 seed due to head-to-head results with wins over both Boston University (14-3 W, 12-4 L) and Middlebury (12-3 W).  Since Middlebury lost to both Boston University (10-8 L) and Dartmouth (12-3 L), the Panthers earn the No. 4 seed.  Tiebreakers then revert back to head-to-head results between Boston University and Dartmouth.  As the teams split a pair of games, the tiebreaker for the No. 2 seed is goal differential as Dartmouth won by 11 and lost by 8 in the two meetings for a +3 differential; Northeastern University claims the No. 7 seed due to an 8-6 head-to-head win versus Williams College
