2017 Texas Division Men’s Schedule
Texas Division Schedule Notes
Due to travel concerns on Championship Sunday for the teams traveling the longest distance, the schedule has been adjusted to allow the 7th Place Game played earlier in the day. Please be sure to review the schedule as this change was posted October 26th.
Due to the number of games and time constraints during the Texas A&M University weekend, teams will receive 1, two-minute timeout per half and a 30 second time to be used at any time. Quarter breaks will be two minutes with a three minutes halftime. This does not apply to the regional weekends or the division championship.
The schedule for the Texas Tech University tournament on October 7-8 is adjusted effective October 5 following the teams permitting Texas State University to forfeit its games and remain on campus.

Texas A&M University “A” claims the No. 2 seed due to a 5-0 forfeit win versus Texas A&M University “B”; Rice University takes the No. 4 seed due to an 8-1 win versus the University of Texas “B”; Since Louisiana State University, Baylor University and Texas Tech University did not play each other, the tiebreaker for the No. 6 seed goes to goal differential versus higher seeded opponents. Since Baylor did not play Texas “B”, the tiebreaking teams are University of Texas “A”, Texas A&M “A”, Texas A&M “B” and Rice. Baylor claims the No. 6 seed due to a -20 differential (38 goals against, 18 goals for) based on losses to Texas “A” (14-6 L), Rice (5-4 L), Texas A&M “B” (9-6 L) and Texas A&M “A” (10-2 L), versus LSU’s -39 (54 goals against, 15 goals for: 16-5 L vs. Texas “A”, 18-1 L v.s Texas A&M “A”, 10-6 L vs. Texas A&M “B”, 7-3 L vs. Rice) and Texas Tech’s -35 (55 goals against, 30 goals for: 10-5 L vs. Rice, 18-4 L vs. Texas “A”, 11-8 L vs. Texas A&M “B”, 16-3 L vs. Texas A&M “A”). Once the No. 6 seed is determined, the tiebreaker for the No. 7 position between LSU and Texas Tech reverts back to head-to-head and then goal differential versus higher seeded teams. Since both LSU and Texas Tech played Texas “B”, that game is added to the tiebreaker formula with Louisiana State University earning the position with a -30 differential (56 goals against, 26 goals for: 16-5 L vs. Texas “A”, 18-1 L vs. Texas A&M “A”, 10-6 L vs. Texas A&M “B”, 7-3 L vs. Rice, 11-5 W vs. Texas “B”) compared to Texas Tech’s -41 (65 goals against, 24 goals for: 10-5 L vs. Rice, 18-4 L vs. Texas “A”, 10-4 L vs. Texas “B”, 11-8 L vs. Texas A&M “B”, 16-3 L vs. Texas A&M “A”); Texas State University claims the No. 10 seed due to a 5-0 forfeit win versus Southern Methodist University.
