BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Salem University head men’s water polo coach Rob Bullion announced the signing of Samuel Pietta. Pietta will enroll in Salem’s master’s of business administration program.
“Samuel will bring experience and leadership qualities as a master’s student,” said Bullion. “I am excited he will get to gain experience with the team this spring before our championship season in the fall.”
Pietta is from Brescia, Italy, and earned his undergraduate degree at University of Brescia (Universita degli Studi di Brescia). His water polo career includes two regional championships with AN (Associazione Nuotatori) Brescia, a club team in Brescia. Pietta has trained with Italy’s first division league (A1) and has competed in Italy’s A2 and B1 leagues.
Salem posted a 12-12 record this past fall for the team’s third consecutive double-digit win total.
