CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The Connecticut College women’s water polo team concluded competition at the Harvard University Invitational with a 27-5 setback against Siena College.
Junior Brooklyn Hayes (Granville, Mass.) scored the game’s first goal just 40 seconds into the contest, but the Saints responded with three consecutive tallies and took over from there. Siena led 7-3 at the end of the first quarter and continued to extend its lead over the course of the morning until eventually coming away with the 22-goal win.
Junior Stephania Lopez (Chicago, Ill.) and Hayes paced the Camel offense with two goals apiece. Freshman Maria Sell (San Mateo, Calif.) also found the back of the net.
