ERIE, Pa. — Penn State Behrend head coach Joe Tristan speaks with four-time Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-America selection and 2013 graduate Mary Ellen (Spooner) Cottle.
A 2010, 2011 and 2012 Honorable Mention All-America selection, she capped off her collegiate career by garnering Second Team recognition in 2013. In addition, Spooner was twice named All-Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III by picking-up Second Team honors in 2012 and 2013 to accompany All-CWPA Championship recognition in 2013.
The 2013 Penn State Behrend Female Athlete of the Year Spooner left PSB with the program’s record for goals and drawn kickouts, finishing her career with 146 and 110, respectively.
