BRONX, N.Y. — Goalkeeper Bailey O’Mara (Jr., Darien, Conn./Darien) claimed the Fordham University Block F Award as the men’s water polo team’s Most Valuable Player for the 2020-21 academic year.
He led the Rams to a victory in the program’s COVID-19 abbreviated 2020/Winter 2021 season by making eight saves, including a penalty shot stop, to go along with six steals in a 17-11 defeat of Iona College on February 12.
Fordham’s all-time single season saves leader with 351, O’Mara claimed All-Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) East First Team and MAWPC Championship All-Tournament Second Team status in 2019.
