New York Division Schedule Notes
NOTE: Due to the Division III National Collegiate Club Championship and the New York Division Championship occurring on the same weekend (October 29-30). The top finishing Division III team within the division will have their choice of going to the New York Division Championship or the Division III National Collegiate Club Championship at Colby College in Maine. If no Division III team elects to go to Nationals, the schedule featuring 10 teams remains unchanged. If a team does plan to attend, the championship schedule will be revised to a nine-team format. The top Division III team based on their record against other Division III teams in the division will qualify. To determine advancement for any teams tied in record, head-to-head results will be the first tiebreaker, followed by goal differential against the highest seeded common opponent. The Division III team qualifying for Nationals will have their entry fee waived, since their league fees provide for three tournaments.
NOTE: Due to COVID-19 vaccination guidelines on campus, the United States Military Academy weekend on Saturday-Sunday, September 24-25, is revised to include only the teams that met the requirement as of September 21.
NOTE: RPI is able to host only one event and will continue to host the New York Division Championship on Saturday-Sunday, October 22-23. The October 15-16 weekend at RPI is canceled as of September 21.
NOTE: The New York Division schedule at the United States Military Academy on Saturday-Sunday, September 24-25, is revised again as of September 22.
NOTE: The games at the University of Buffalo on October 15-16 move to a single day tournament on Saturday, October 15, as of October 6. Games will now use six-minute quarters with no overtime and one, 30-second timeout per half for each team.
NOTE: Syracuse University informed the league office on October 14 of the team’s intent to withdraw from the remainder of the schedule. The games on Saturday, October 15, are minimized to three contests with Cornell University, Binghamton University and host the University of Buffalo due to Syracuse’s decision.
NOTE: The New York Division Championship changes as of October 18 as Binghamton University will not compete while RPI is unable to compete due to unforeseen circumstances. RPI will continue to host the championship. Time constraints will be in place with six-minute quarters, sudden death overtime and one timeout per half for each team being utilized to complete the championship schedule.
NOTE: Due to a pump failing at host RPI, the New York Division Championship is canceled as of October 20. The United States Military Academy is declared the division winner and advances to the Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship based on the team’s regular season finish.
NOTE: On October 21, Cornell University notified the league office that the school acquired pool time at Wissahickon High School (521 Houston Road, Ambler, PA) to host the 2022 New York Division Championship. The division title is removed from the United States Military Academy based on the team’s regular season finish. An updated schedule is anticipated to be released on Monday, October 24, following confirmation with the teams of their ability to compete.
NOTE: As of October 26, the New York Division Championship at Wissahickon High School is canceled. The championship will be a single game at the United States Military Academy’s Cadet Pool on Sunday, October 30, at Noon pitting host Army versus Cornell University. Fans are allowed – however, all visitors must pass through the Visitors’ Center which will ask for proof of vaccination and/or negative test. All spectators are limited to Cadet Pool and bathroom/lockerrooms in Arvin Gymnasium. Fans are expected to obey all security signs and officer instructions while on post.

*Cornell University claims the No. 2 seed due to a 19-11 head-to-head win over the U.S. Coast Guard Academy; ^New York University claims the No. 5 seed due to goal differential versus common opponents compared to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. NYU recorded a -15 (36-13 L to Cornell, 20-6 W vs. Binghamton University, 13-7 L to the U.S. Military Academy), while Merchant Marine posted a -23 (26-4 L to Cornell, 12-1 W vs. Binghamton, 19-7 L vs. U.S. Military Academy); &Since Columbia University and RPI did not play a game, the pair are seeded in the last two positions by random draw.
