Atlantic Division Schedule Notes

NOTE: Games on Saturday-Sunday, October 21-22, at the University of Maryland will use six-minute quarters with no overtime and teams limited to one timeout per half.

NOTE: The format for the Atlantic/Mid-Atlantic “A” and “B” Championships are tentative as of September 8.  An updated date and format for both events is slated to be announced in the upcoming weeks.  A format for an exclusive Atlantic Division Championship on Saturday-Sunday, October 28-29, is listed in the event combined Atlantic/Mid-Atlantic Championships are not possible due to date or pool availability.

NOTE: James Madison University informed the league on September 15 of the institution’s inability to host on October 7-8.  If a site becomes available, the weekend will be rescheduled.  Due to the schedule changes, the Mid-Atlantic and Atlantic Divisions will not combine during the championships.

NOTE: The schedule for the Atlantic Division Championship at North Carolina State University on October 28-29 is revised as of September 26.

NOTE: The University of Maryland informed the league office on Wednesday, October 25, of their intent to not compete at the Atlantic Division Championship.  An updated schedule with seven teams is released and Maryland is suspended for the 2024 season by league rule.

2023 Atlantic Men Standings

!Georgetown University claims the No. 7 seed due to goal differential with a -23 versus North Carolina State University (12-8 L), the University of Virginia (21-2 L) and Virginia Tech (14-4 L), while James Madison University fell to North Carolina State (17-6 L), Virginia (12-0 L) and Virginia Tech (30-1 L) for a -52 differential; ^The University of Maryland claims the No. 5 seed due to a 14-10 head-to-head win versus the University of North Carolina; *The University of Virginia claims the No. 1 seed due to goal differential versus the highest seeded common opponent – the University of Maryland – as Virginia claimed a 22-2 W (+20), while Navy (9-3 W, +6) and Virginia Tech (13-3 W, +10) trailed behind.  The tiebreaker for the No. 2 seed reverts to goal differential versus the highest seeded common opponent, North Carolina State University.  Virginia Tech defeated NC State 24-4 for a +20 differential, compared to Navy’s +12 from a 21-9 win.
