Great Lakes Division Schedule Notes

NOTE: Games on October 14-15 at Grand Haven High School will use six-minute quarters with no overtime and teams limited to one timeout per half.

NOTE: The University of Cincinnati, Miami University (Ohio), the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Loyola University (Ill.) of the Great Lakes Division will compete at the “B” Championship; Grand Valley State University, Illinois State University, the University of Notre Dame and Washington University in St. Louis of the Great Lakes Division will compete at the “A” Championship.

NOTE: The University of Cincinnati on September 19 informed the league office of their intent to compete at the “A” Championship and their subsequent inability to host the “B” Championship on Saturday-Sunday, October 28-29.

NOTE: The schedule for the Grand Haven High School weekend on Saturday-Sunday, October 14-15, is adjusted.  On October 14, Illinois State University will now compete versus the University of Notre Dame at 8:30 a.m., while Grand Valley State University will play Illinois State at 12:30 p.m.

NOTE: McKendree University will charge admission fees of $10 per day/$15 for a weekend tournament pass on Saturday-Sunday, October 28-29, at the Great Lakes/Missouri Valley Division “A” Championship.

NOTE: The Great Lakes/Missouri Valley Division “A” Championship schedule is released on October 16.  The “B” Championship is canceled due lacking a host site.

NOTE: Due to a facility issue at McKendree University’s Metro Rec Plex brought forward on Thursday, October 26, the Great Lakes/Missouri Valley Divisions “A” Championship on Saturday-Sunday, October 28-29, is canceled. There may be a chance the event can occur on a later weekend if McKendree or another institution is able to secure a pool. However, for purposes of the National Championship, Washington University in St. Louis and McKendree University are declared Great Lakes and Missouri Valley Division champions and will represent their divisions at the 2023 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championships based on the regular season results this season. If the “A’ Championship can be hosted at a later date, the second-place plaques will be determined at that time. Otherwise, the runner-up in each division (Grand Valley State University, University of Missouri) will be determined based on the regular season results and the published tiebreaker system if necessary to determine the runner-up teams.

*The tie for the No. 2 seed is broken by goal differential versus the highest seed common opponent (Washington University in St. Louis) as Grand Valley State University lost 13-6 for a -7 differential, while the University of Cincinnati lost 20-2 for a -18 differential; ^The No. 4 position is determined by goal differential versus the highest seeded common opponent (Illinois State University) as the University of Notre Dame won 10-3, while Miami University (Ohio) lost to Illinois State 6-5; $The No. 6 seed is determined by goal differential versus the highest seeded common opponent (Grand Valley State University) as Loyola University (Ill.) lost 19-2 for a -17 differential, while Illinois State University lost 21-3 for a -18 differential.
