Texas Division Schedule Notes

NOTE: Games on Saturday-Sunday, September 28-29, at Rice University in Houston, Texas, will use five-minute quarters with no overtime and no timeouts.

NOTE: The University of Houston-vs.-Rice University game remains to be scheduled as of Monday, September 3.

NOTE: Games at the Texas Division Championship on Saturday-Sunday, November 2-3, at Rice University will utilize six-minute quarters with sudden death overtime and teams limited to one timeout per half.

NOTE: The Texas Division schedule is confirmed as of Wednesday, September 11.  The University of Houston-vs.-Rice University game will be contested at Texas A&M University on Sunday, October 13, at 2:50 p.m.

NOTE:  Southern Methodist University informed the league on Tuesday, September 24, of their team’s immediate withdrawal from the Texas Division schedule.  The division schedule is revised.  Games on Saturday-Sunday, September 28-29, at Rice University will use six-minute quarters with no overtime and teams limited to one timeout per half.   

NOTE:  The Texas Division Championship is revised as of Tuesday, September 24, to an 11-team event.  Games will use six-minute quarters with sudden death overtime and teams limited to one timeout per half.

2024 Texas Men Standings

*Texas A&M University claims the No. 2 seed due to goal differential versus the University of Texas as Texas A&M “A” lost 6-4, while Texas A&M University “B” fell 14-6; ^Baylor University takes the No. 4 seed due to a 12-10 head-to-head win versus Rice University; !The University of North Texas earns the No. 6 seed based on goal differential versus common opponents seeded higher compared to Texas State University.  UNT lost to Texas A&M University “A” (18-3 L) and Texas A&M University “B” (5-3 L) for a -17 differential, while Texas State fell 19-6 to Texas A&M “A” and 17-10 to Texas A&M “B” for a -20 differential; &Texas Tech University takes the No. 8 seed based on goal differential versus common opponents seeded higher as the TTU fell against the University of Texas “A” (14-3 L), Texas A&M University “A” (14-1 L), Texas A&M University “B” (13-6 L), Rice University (13-7 L), the University of North Texas (9-8 L) and tied Texas State University (12-12 Tie) for a -38 differential.  Houston lost to Texas “A” (14-5 L), Texas A&M “A” (20-3 L), Texas A&M “B” (15-11 L), Rice (18-9 L) and Texas State (16-14 L) to accompany a 9-9 tie against North Texas for a -43 differential; $The University of Texas “B” garners the No. 10 seed due to Louisiana State University forfeiting games.  League rules state a team is eliminated from a tiebreaker situation if the squad forfeited a game.
