BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Anthony Bamford will join the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) staff on July 1 as the league’s Director of Multimedia.
A 2025 graduate of Elon University with a Bachelor of Arts in Media Analytics with minors in both Sport Management and Statistics, he assumes a position responsible for the coordination and improved production of the league’s streaming efforts, including the Men’s and Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship, Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Championship, Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Championship, CWPA Championship, Men’s Division III Collegiate Club, Women’s Division III Collegiate Club Championship and Women’s Division III Championships. In addition, he will oversee the production of video content for the league’s website and advertising for the league’s primary sponsors, KAP7 and Turbo.
A native of Royersford, Pa., he comes to the CWPA after previously working as a Production Assistant for Elon Sports Vision and the Elon News Network broadcasting Elon athletic events and news. An Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Football and Game Day Operations Center intern – including managing a 30-member volunteer staff at the 2023 ACC Football Championship game – he also possesses prior experience as a Game Operations intern for the Durham Bulls of the International League and a producer/broadcaster for Pottstown Community Television (PCTV).
He completed research for the Elon Sports Media Lab by completing a Qualitative Analysis of Sports Gambling, Pirating and Social Media Consumption with the results published in the Street & Smith’s Sports Business Journal.
