BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announces an updated Fall 2021 ACWPC Men’s All-Academic list.

The change occurs as 18 athletes from Johns Hopkins University are added to the team as the total number of awards increases to 521.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete’s head coach must be a member of the ACWPC, while the athlete must attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher. Divided into three teams based on cumulative grade point average (GPA), 182 athletes garnered Outstanding (4.00-3.71), 193 Superior (3.70-3.41) and 230 Excellent (3.40-3.20) recognition from 46 teams.

Further, a total of 29 schools posted Team Honors for achieving GPAs over 3.0 with the California Institute of Technology (3.8) leading the way.  The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (3.76), Johns Hopkins (3.66), Harvard University (3.65), Brown University (3.58), Stanford University (3.538), Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (3.53), Salem University (3.42), Bucknell University (3.38) and California Baptist University (3.37) round out the Top 10.

Princeton University (3.341), Wagner College (3.33), the University of California-Los Angeles (3.32), the University of California-San Diego (3.29), Chapman University (3.23), George Washington University (3.23), Mercyhurst University (3.23), Santa Clara University (3.228), San Jose State University (3.22), Occidental College (3.22) and Fordham University (3.2) rate at No. 11-to-20.

Mount St. Mary’s University (3.2), Fresno Pacific University (3.19), Austin College (3.18), the University of California (3.18), Concordia University (3.17), Biola University (3.1), California Lutheran University (3.1) and the United States Naval Academy (3.08) complete the recognized teams.
