BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Carli Udovich (Fr., Mokena, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) of Division III No. 5-ranked Augustana College contributed four goals, an assist, four drawn exclusions and a pair of steals during a 1-1 weekend at home in 2023 USA Water Polo Division III Collegiate Championship competition to earn notice as the May 8 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Rookie of the Week.
A first-time weekly honor recipient from the league office, Udovich opened the weekend by netting a goal, an assist and a drawn exclusion in a 20-9 loss by the CWPA Division III Champion Vikings to Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) runner-up/Division III No. 2 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges on Saturday, May 6. On Sunday, May 7, she posted a hat-trick with three goals to accompany a pair of steals as Augustana downed CWPA Division III runner-up/Division III No. 7 Austin College by a 10-3 score in the championship’s third place game.
