BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Charlotte Newport (Sr., Baytown, Texas/Sterling) earned a share of the 2025 Knut Erickson Award during Augustana College’s 2024-25 Blanket Awards ceremony on Sunday, May 18.
Present to a student-athlete with the highest grade point average among Augustana athletes, Newport shares the honor with Kira Nelson of women’s track & field and volleyball as both athletes hold GPAs of 3.98.
A two-time Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-America selection (2023 – Second Team; 2024 – Honorable Mention), the three-time All-Conference selection (2023 CWPA Division III-West Region First Team, 2024 First Tea, 2025 First Team) helped lead the Vikings to the program’s third consecutive CWPA Division III Championship this year.
