BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Brown University assistant coach Jake Ehrhardt was named to the competition roster and Bucknell University head coach John McBride will serve an assistant coach for USA Water Polo Men’s National Team head coach Dejan Udovicic at the World Aquatics Men’s World Cup Division 1 Tournament on January 6-12 in Bucharest, Romania.

The event is a qualifier for the 2025 Water Polo World Cup Super Final with the top six finishers earning a spot in April.

All games are set to stream LIVE in the United States via Recast PPV on the World Aquatics website with live scoring available courtesy of World Aquatics.

A native of Camarillo, Calif., and a graduate of Oaks Christian High School, Ehrhardt finished his career at the University of Southern California (USC) in 2022 as the sixth all-time leading scorer for the Trojans while being named a record five-time Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-America selection. Ehrhardt helped his team to a National Championship in 2018 and three other appearances in the National Championship game. He was also named a Peter Cutino Award Finalist as one of the top-three players in the NCAA.

In national competition, Ehrhardt was the Team USA Captain in the 2019 FINA World U20 Championship and the 2019 Final World University Games. He was a member of the USA Water Polo Men’s Senior National Team from 2016-22.

McBride, who was named head coach at Bucknell in 2011, is in his third year as an assistant with the Senior Men’s National Team.  An assistant coach for the United States Bronze Medal team at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, he has served as head coach of the Northeast Zone Olympic Development Team since 2009.
