SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Brown University concluded the Bronco Invitational with back-to-back wins at the Sullivan Aquatic Center, by defeating host Santa Clara University, 14-8, and No. 16-ranked San Jose State University, 8-7.
Facing the host Broncos, Sarah Decker made two saves in goal as Brown led 5-2 after one quarter and held a four-goal cushion at the half.
Sophie Golub tallied a match-high six points with three goals and three assists, Hanna Tidrenczel posted four goals and Madeleine Poissonnier and Claire Poissonnier combined for three goals and three assists.
Katharine Knowles (two goals, one assist), Sierra Martin (two goals) and Aubrie Anderson (two assists) also registered multiple points.
A comeback was complete for Brown as the Bears dominated the second half en route to an 8-7 win over the Spartans.
The Bears scored on a power play with 6:53 remaining in the third quarter to tie the game and Claire Poissonnier and Cleo Washer scored goals in the fourth quarter to give Brown a two-goal lead.
San Jose State scored with 1:09 remaining to cut the Bears lead to one, but the Bears held on to down the Spartans.
Roxanne Hazuka was credited with seven saves in the win.
