BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Marley Presiado (Sr., Newport Beach, Calif./Mater Dei) of No. 24-ranked Brown University snagged 27 saves in the span of three games at the Santa Clara University Invitational to help the Bears to a 4-0 weekend. For her performance, she is entitled the February 21 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Defensive Player of the Week.
A two-time Defensive Player of the Week selection after earning recognition on February 3, 2020, she turned away 11 shots in a 13-8 defeat of California State University-Monterey Bay and five more in a 7-6 defeat of California State University-East Bay on Saturday, February 19.
Presiado concluded the weekend with her best performance of the West Coast trip by making 11 saves and snagging a pair of steals in an 8-6 upset of No. 16 University of the Pacific.
