BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Bucknell University is slated to host the 14-game 2022 Bison Invitational on Saturday-Sunday, September 17-18, at Kinney Natatorium in Lewisburg, Pa.
Bucknell welcomes fellow Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) institutions Mercyhurst University, Johns Hopkins University, Mount St. Mary’s University, Salem Universty, Wagner College, McKendree University and defending MAWPC Champion Fordham University for six league games and eight non-conference contests.
Competition commences at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, as Salem and Mercyhurst meet in a non-conference game. Following MAWPC contests pitting Fordham-vs.-Mount St. Mary’s (11:20 a.m.) and Bucknell-vs.-Johns Hopkins (12:40 p.m.), Salem faces Wagner (2:00 p.m.) and Hopkins meets Mercyhurst (3:20 p.m.) in back-to-back non-conference affairs.
Bucknell returns to the pool at 6:00 p.m. as the last three MAWPC Champions, Bucknell (2019, Winter 2021) and Fordham (2021), face-off prior to a non-conference game pitting Wagner-vs.-McKendree (7:20 p.m.) concludes Day One action.
McKendree is back in the water at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 18, as the Bearcats battle the host Bison in non-conference play. League games matching Fordham-vs.-Wagner (9:20 a.m.) and Salem-vs.-Mount St. Mary’s (10:40 a.m.) round out the morning match-ups prior to McKendree and Mercyhurst tangling in non-conference competition at Noon.
A MAWPC game matching Bucknell-vs.-Wagner (1:20 p.m.) leads into non-conference clashes pitting Fordham-vs.-Salem (2:40 p.m.) and Mercyhurst-vs.-Mount St. Mary’s (4:00 p.m.) to wrap-up the weekend.
