BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Bucknell University junior Jack Lewis (Jr., Wilton, Conn./Wilton) is helping to pay for college in a unique way – via an ice cream truck.
Co-owner of College Creamery with his sister Julia, Lewis was recently featured on the WPIX-11 News in New York for his unique way to help defer the cost of college.
Last season in 2019, Lewis appeared in 27 games with nine starts for the Bison as a key reserve. He scored 24 goals with 11 assists and 14 steals following a freshman season in 2018 during which he tallied 40 goals and 25 assists with 49 steals in 29 games.
A former member of the Chelsea Piers Water Polo Club, he led its varsity high school club team in scoring all four years with the program and captured four consecutive Offensive Player of the Year awards. A member of 2014 USAWP Development National Team, he spent the 2017-18 season with the New York Athletic Club Water Polo team and was part of the 2016 and 2015 Lake Club Senior Tournament champion squads.
The son of former University of Richmond water polo standout Jim Lewis, who was also an official at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Lewis was a four-year letterwinner in swimming at Wilton High School and claimed all-state honors in the 100 backstroke (2016) and 200 IM (2016) and the 200 freestyle relay team (2015).
