BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Samantha Kruschke (Sr., Grass Valley, Calif./Ghidotti Early College) scored nine goals during a 2-2 weekend for the Keelhaulers in division action to earn the February 24 Women’s Collegiate Club Sierra Pacific Division Player of the Week award.
Competing at the University of California-Santa Cruz’s OPERS Aquatics Center in Santa Cruz, Calif., she notched a solo marker versus the Division III No. 3-ranked Banana Slugs’ “A” team (19-5 L) and collected a hat-trick with three tallies against the “B” squad (11-9 W). Kruschke added to her weekend total by putting away five chances in a 12-10 defeat of Saint Mary’s College of California and a solo score in a 16-5 loss to San Jose State University.
