2019 New England Division Women’s Schedule

New England Division Schedule Notes

Each team will play every opponent within the division at least once during the regular season and two teams twice. The additional games are selected randomly. The division voted that teams who play each other more than once in the regular season will count the two games as one in the standing. The winner will be determined by the point differential between the two games. Teams are seeded for championship based on the regular season won/loss record.

Due to time constraints during the regular season weekends (please note Northeastern has more restrictions as explained below), teams will receive one (1) two-minute timeout per half and a 30 second timeout to be used at any time during the game. Quarter breaks and halftime will be two minutes. The championship weekend will follow current NCAA rules.

As of February 20th, the schedule for the Northeastern University weekend has been revised based on their available hours. Due to the time constraints at Northeastern University, and games needing to be played on a 45 minute schedule, matches will be played with six (6) minute quarters and two (2) minute breaks/halftime. Teams will have one (1) one-minute timeout  and one (1) 30 second timeout per game. Any games requiring overtime will be played as sudden victory (first team to score wins) with only one three-minute overtime. Games will end in a tie at the end of the first overtime period. Standings for the season will be determined by a won/loss percentage. If needed, the Head Referee will have the discretion to move to five (5) minute quarters in order to ensure all games are played.

*Wesleyan University claims the No. 4 seed via a 17-6 win versus the University of Massachusetts; ^Although Williams College holds a 15-5 win over Northeastern University, the No. 6 seed is awarded to Northeastern since Williams forfeited to Boston College during the regular season.  League policy dictates a team can not win a tiebreaker scenario if they forfeited a game.
