Big Ten Division Schedule Notes

NOTE: Games on Saturday-Sunday, September 14-15, at Ohio State University will use five-minute quarters with neither overtime nor timeouts.

NOTE: The University of Wisconsin informed the league on Wednesday, September 11, of the institution’s inability to attend the Big Ten Division weekend on Saturday-Sunday, September 14-15, due to a lack of transportation.  Wisconsin is appealing to the league’s Governance Council to avoid being eliminated from the remainder of the Big Ten Division schedule.  To ensure each remaining team four games at Ohio State, the weekend schedule is revised with each game utilizing six-minute quarters with neither overtime nor timeouts.  All games during the weekend will count toward the division standings.  If Wisconsin is not permitted to compete during the remainder of the 2024 season, the remaining league weekends – including the championship – will be revised.  If Wisconsin is permitted to compete in 2024,  win-loss percentages will be used for seeding the division championship since Wisconsin will not be able to compete in an equal quantity of games compared to the other Big Ten institutions.

NOTE: On Monday, September 23, the league’s Governance Council ruled that the University of Wisconsin can remain in the Big Ten schedule for the 2024 season.  In addition, Wisconsin is charge with forfeit losses to Ohio State University, Purdue University, the University of Michigan and Michigan State University with the championship seeded based on win/loss records.

NOTE: Game times for the Saturday-Sunday, October 12-13, weekend at the University of Michigan are revised as of Tuesday, October 8.
