PLEASE NOTE: The top finishing North Atlantic and Colonial Division III teams at the combined “A” championship earn their respective divisions’ bids to the Division III Collegiate Club Championship
PLEASE NOTE: Williams College informed the league office of a policy that the institution is only permitted to play New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) institutions at home which prevents every division member except Amherst College and Wesleyan University from competing during the regular season. Due to this, the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) is canceling the tournaments unless another host site becomes available. (September 15).
SCHEDULE CHANGE: As of September 24, Wesleyan University withdrew from the season, while the North Atlantic and Colonial Divisions will not merge for a championship. Since the Colonial Division canceled all of their regular season games, there is no way to determine which teams should go to an “A” or “B” Championship. Due to this fact, there will be only one championship for the Colonial Division featuring exclusively teams from that group.
PLEASE NOTE: The University of Massachusetts has the following guidelines for the championship
- Proper face coverings to be worn whenever it is possible.
- For COVID contact tracing reasons, UMass needs a list of everyone who is coming to the tournament from each team (players, coaches, and others). Please send us the list to waterpolo@umass.edu by Friday at noon, and reach out if there are any changes.
- For your fans that will watch the games, UMass have a separate survey with some important information, make sure to have your fans fill out the survey. Teams can also fill it out on somebody’s behalf. https://forms.gle/PpfcwrBZMGfmM5sk8
- All teams have indicated they met vaccine/testing requirements, so the school will not be collecting proof of vaccination/testing. However, UMass requires that participants have it with them just in case.

- Parking Information and Getting to the Pool: Put “Boyden Gymnasium” or “131 Commonwealth Ave, Amherst, MA 01003” into a GPS and an individual should arrive in the parking lot. There will be signs to help individuals get to the pool entrances. There is additional parking on Massachusetts Ave, Lots 71 and 32 would be closest. - Fan seating will be in the pool balconies, currently there is no working elevator to get to the balcony. Questions regarding access can be forwarded to waterpolo@umass.edu.
SCHEDULE CHANGE: On October 13, the Colonial Division teams elected to revise the entirety of the 2021 schedule and change the scheduled championship weekend (October 16-17) into a regular season tournament. Further, the teams elected to compete on Saturday-Sunday, November 6-7, also at the University of Massachusetts prior to a concluding weekend on Saturday-Sunday, November 13-14, also at UMass. Games at UMass on October 16 will feature teams with only one timeout per half.
SCHEDULE CHANGE: On October 25, the University of Massachusetts informed the league regarding the cancellation of the November 6-7 weekend.
